A beautiful coffee bean brown antique coat. Made of smooth felted wool with a Medici standing collar lined in soft velvet. Sleeves are ever so dreamy with the exaggerated style of the time. Large puffed leg of mutton sleeves stand tall with the internal support of 1890’s shoulder pads. Decorated with a cut wool design on front and back and detailed stitching patterns. Its really a lovely coat.

Best for a 36 inch or smaller bust if wanting to close front of coat completely, waist if button to original button placement is 30inches, 23 inches in length, 15 inch wide shoulders and 23 inch long sleeves.

Condition: This coat has been lovingly restored with careful mending and extensive cleaning. Lining is in absolute perfect condition. Outer wool shell has small areas of insect damage but not easily recognized. No holes in the wool but wool is a bit fluffed where original buttons were. The velvet at neck has some tears in it. Its a soft beautiful antique velvet so the decision to leave the velvet as is was made. Coat has lost originally buttons. New buttons were not put on. New owner can choose buttons and button placement to add or subtract inches for closure. Price reflects the imperfections and work that went into restoring this piece.
